How we keep calls safe

AmbosLive is for practicing languages, not for dating or random chat. These protections are on for everyone, on every plan.

Adults only

• Everyone confirms they're 18 or older and agrees to the community rules before their first call.
• A quick selfie age check runs before the first call. It runs on your own device: your image is never uploaded or saved.
• A short safety reminder appears before each day's calls.

During every call

• Our safety check watches for nudity on your device. Likely nudity is blurred and the call ends automatically.
• Calls are never recorded, and screenshots and recordings are against the rules.
• Phone numbers, emails, links and social handles are hidden in the chat.
• You can skip, end or report a call with one tap. Anyone you report is never matched with you again.

Not a dating app

• There are no profiles or photos to browse. You're matched by language, level and topics.
• Flirting and asking for dates are against the rules.
• You can choose to be matched only with people of your own gender, free on every plan.

When someone breaks the rules

• A report about someone who seems under 18, or about nudity, pauses their account right away while our team reviews it.
• Several reports from different people also pause an account for review. We usually reply within a day.
• Accounts that break the rules are closed. Content involving minors is reported to the authorities, as the law requires.

The AI partner

• The AI partner is always labeled as an AI and keeps conversations friendly and safe for work.
• Your conversations with it are not stored.
