Spoken French moves fast: words run together, and everyday speech uses shortcuts you rarely see in a textbook. Regular conversations with native speakers are the way to train your ear. French is spoken across Europe, Canada and many countries in Africa, so you'll hear a range of accents.
How a French practice call works
- Matched by level, from beginner to fluent.
- A swap timer splits the call between French and your language.
- Topic cards give you something to say from the first second.
- Text chat for words you want to see written down.
