Apps can teach characters and vocabulary, but tones only become natural when you hear them in real speech and use them yourself. A native speaker can tell you right away when mǎi (buy) came out as mài (sell).

- Level matching so beginners get slow, clear speech.
- A swap timer shares the call between Mandarin and your language.

Ask your partner to say a new word slowly, repeat it back, and have them tell you which tone was off. Short, focused corrections like this stick far better than long explanations.
